Ideas and discussion about publishing and distributing your games

Edit: I saw he updated and added some screenshots from his levels. Now, I'm happy.

Edit2: Apparently, people don't read anything other than the title then just click the links and reply. Summary: There was a guy put the template on greenlight without changing anything. He saw he may pass the greenlight with a template then he made levels and updated his screenshots and video. When people write comments about this, he said, he bought the sprite pack (it's not a sprite pack, it has mechanics.). Also, in IndieDB, he said he made the game with a custom engine (it's not a custom engine though, it's Construct 2)

I commented on your Greenlight page. Congrats on a polished product thus far. Keep up the good work.

PS: I love soundtracks that not only sound good, but amplify the mood of a level.

It's the template: https://www.scirra.com/store/royalty-fr ... ngine-1057

And I'm not the guy who tries to greenlight it.

Thanks anyway.

Well, you sell templates. People buy to make games. That is expected right? I think you should be happy and should want sucess for your client.

@Renfd Nope, putting templates/tutorials on greenlight without changing anything is not cool.

If someone make a game from my assets or learn something, I would be proud of it but as you can see this is totally different.

Edit: I just saw he updated and added some screenshots from his levels. That's better.

As for me if I see my own asset I'll be proud.
You sell it to help people make games, right?
