What next for Construct 2?

Selected other. I'd like more control over asset management (sounds, images etc.). Manual asset loading for example, so we can pull whatever we need and handle the loading screens ourselves.

I realize this is a feature many of us could live without, but it sure would make development of asset-intensive projects less painful.

Excelent topic, it's cool to know the community is an important part in the project..

I would love to see Family behaviors, not because I need it to my project but because this is really an important thing... also multiplayer online support would be AWESOME and a simple image editor would be cool too..

if I could vote for 3 things, would be those..

Add Online Multiplayer features now and you'll get 100 canceled MMOs. XD In my opinion the editor itself, event sheets features, a debugger, effects, and image editor tools are of higher priority. Oh, and of course better tilemap support :)

Improvements to behaviors would also be nice such as allowing down jump on the jump-thru. Relying on workarounds usually involve it being a little bit buggy. An example I remember is if you have a sprite on a platform which moves downwards.

still... it's hard to answer, there's alot of things that need to be added ASAP

For some reason I'm not allowed to vote on this poll, but my vote would go for more event sheet features. They are the base for everything else.
