@bilgekaan, this thread had some discussion about it...

Maybe it would be of some interest.

Hey, @ryanrybot thank you, there are some good examples about this subject on the forum, but I'm looking something made with shaders because creating +100 sprites for an effect sounds more expensive.

Hi. Is it posible to create this kind of effect or something close to it ? I am referring to the dust/fog from the background animating like that.

Whats the gif from? a game? looks pretty insane if it is.

You should be able to make the dust clouds from particle effects.

Hi @Havok. The gif image is from a 2D animated concept for a "POD". A guy is working on his project, a 3rd person game and he is posting his work in progress on this site:

I think that if I use the particle system it will use a lot of resources and will definitely not look like this (randomness, dynamics, form ). I was thinking of something like @Gigatrons 's MultipleFX4 (effects 3 and 5 from the image) but with some changes , since I am thinking of using it like a background.

Hey guys. I found some nice effects here. I'm talking about blur effects like "Tilt shift" and "Triangle Blur", demo looks amazing there. Another cool thing is jQuery filter. It's using photoshop Curve data for image. Can someone implement this things? I think it will be useful for community :)
