Yes, but if I run while carrying my scissors, and fall and give myself a harelip, it would then be alright to call them skissors.

Personally, I always pronounce it as 'Sseerah', but here in Russia most people says (and writes in Russian transcription) as 'Skeerah' or even often 'Stseerah' (because of Latin 'C' usualy used as "?"-'Ts' in Russian )
As I said before, you don't pronounce science "sky-ence," and you don't pronounce Scirra "skeer-eh." That's just wrong! WRONG, I SAY!

Now where did I park my Skion, I have to go buy some new skissors.
1000x this.

I say it like, SEA-RAH... but less, uh... enunciated.

The "sci" is less like "sci-fi" and more like "scissors", and the rra is just, well.... like "bra" without the "b"?

Such funny words.

I guess another way to describe it would be to say the word "syrup" but leave the "p" off of the end.

You're right "syrup" sounds closest, I'd just replace "up" with "a", like "syra" or "sira"?

I find it disturbing that I am slightly aroused by your avatar.

That is all.
