Where do your assets come from?

Since I'm starting to develop games, I'm using Adobe Flash to make the graphics. And now, I'm also used Adobe Illustrator and Inkscape to make sprites and BGs.
Currently, pixel art is not my style for now.

For the musics, I'm using FL Studio.

For the SFX, I found them in some games I have (the most common sounds) and from free assets platforms like FreeSound. I'm sometimes make SFXs using Audacity, FL Studio, sfxr or bfxr.

Thanks for your answers.
It seems that a lot of people are making their own assets. Congrats.
It needs so much skills (and time).

For those of you who purchase them, do you actually earn enough money with your game to cover your investment?

I'm a horrible artist, and free assets aren't usually enough for a complete game. So I make games with artists, whether hiring or working in team. I don't buy assets from stores because unique is better :D

Anyone like me?

I would says its a mixture of all. My team has a few artists that handle most of the work. A lot of times I get involved and handle some of the smaller tasks and designs. We have purchased UI and game elements from stores before (especially music) if we are running out of time or our artists are over allocated. I have found some good sites that offered free assets, but you have to be careful with copyright and where the artwork originally came from. We try to stay as original as we can though.

I create all of them myself. Looking at my current project basically all of it has been done in Construct 2 itself  (PLEASE IMPLEMENT DRAWING CIRCLES IN THE SPRITE EDITOR!) ... oh and in my internal preview version I used a song from youtube, but I will either license something for the final version or create it myself too...

For prototyping I use mostly freebies: http://tobyr.wtfgamesgroup.com/free-ass ... and-rules/

For the final project I use our own graphics. In WTFGG we have 3 graphic designers.
