Aside from music which I had to purchase, I made my own. After glossing over my game I realize I really have to get better for my next game.

ouais25 wrote:Hello,

Are you:
- hiring artists to create your assets,
- do you make them by yourself,
- do you purchase them from assets platforms,
- do you find them for free on free assets platforms,
- do you use what you find on google (whatever the license)?

Just curious. I have seen games with very nice graphics in the completed games sections and I am really wondering.

I've only done my own art so far, and whenever I use music made by someone else I make sure to get permission, aswell as give credit (:
I'd advice against using assets just taken off of google /:

I make my own art using Photoshop and Pyxel Edit. According to my tastes, I consider my art "good enough" but want it to be better. Figured the best way to get better was to do it all myself. I'm already seeing improvements since ~6 months ago.

I hire and buy assets from CS2 Store/Unity Store.

I'm not an artist/graphics/modelling person fortunately. Yes I said fortunately. I'm a designer by heart. I let the talented people (and there are some amazingly talented people out there) do the graphics work whilst I spend more time creating and polishing.

I make my pixel art myself on as simple, yet effective online tool call Make 8-bit art. I also make my own music on various retro music websites.
