Why are my images see-thru?

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Fri Jul 29, 2011 4:25 pm

I have been messing with this program ,CONSTRUCT 2 ,for a few days now and started by doing the tutorial. When I used the additive effect to remove the black, rectangular edges it worked fine. But now that I am using additive with my custom images from paint, the black outside is removed, but the other colors of the image are see-thru.

Could someone perhaps explain a way to cut the edges off completely, or just a site to find the images you guys use.

The "see-thru" effect is the purpose of "additive".

Transparency in images is done by adding an alpha layer to them. The .png format allows you to export images with such transparency.

You can get more infos by searching for the keyword "alpha transparency" in a search engine.

There are other editors out there (paint.net, photoshop, much more...)
