Window Dimensions

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Jan 06, 2012 12:02 am

My monitor is 1920px wide. When I do
System:Every Tick => Text: Set text to WindowWidth
and resize the browser window the text always reads "1920." This leads me to believe that the the WindowWidth and WindowHeight expressions get the screen dimensions and not the browser window dimensions.

Are their expressions for the browser window height and width? I'd let to let my game scale with a maximized browser window.

Gracias!

Here, this works. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8177003/WindowResize.capx From what I can tell, your capx isn't set to fullscreen. I think this is a bug in Construct 2, but WindowWidth only changes if the preview mode is set to fullscreen mode from what I can tell.

Perfect, thanks DoubleElite. It does seem that if fullscreen isn't set to on that it just takes the screen dimensions.

I think it works as it should and by WindowWidth it's meant the canvas window width and not the browser window width.

I also have a weird bug.
In FullScreen, crop mode.
When I change the Explorer window size (Chrome), the window height & width keep going up.
And in Scale Mode, If you change the Explorer window size, back fullscreen, etc... It keep zooming in...

Is it just me ?
