C2 will have another exporter Windows 8 Phone, the good news is you will save $91 if you want to purchase windows 8 dev account for $ 8 (I know it sucks why we are supposed to pay $99 to desktop and tablet windows 8 and $99 for Windows 8 phone) anyways the registration for $8 will expire between 10/30/12 and 11/7/12.

  • I don't believe windows 8 phone will improve the market share, there are 3 potential mobile marketshares are: Android, iOS and Blackberry.

Obviously, Blackberry 10 will come out in 2013 which could beat Windows 8 phone

  • Excellent find Joannesalfa! You just saved me $91 I never would have found this on my own. Your my new hero!

Now if you could only find us a deal like this on a new Windows 8 phone, and a desktop and tablet windows 8 developers license

IMHO Windows phone 8 will sell a lot more than BB10, but it's only my sensation. Anyway, $8 for a developer account... it's really a good deal comparing to apple policies.

There's a low cost HTC model (8S) with windows phone 8 planned. This may be a good platform test device.

  • Good find!

This charging for developer memberships thing is a step into the wrong direction. Microsoft got big with not charging developers in the first place, and given their market share, they should do everything to get developers making more apps.

  • so its $99 for a windows phone account and $49 for a windows 8 account, that's $148!

i like the android way of thinking where you just pay a small one time fee to register!

  • Joannesalfa

    Marvellous! Thanks for sharing!

(Now I just have to hope the $91 rebate shows up in my account [can't find an emoticon for 'fingers crossed']).

  • Luckily, I can get this free of charge via Dreamspark.
