    Hello,

    I'm making HTML5 2D top-down shooter game.

It's in early alpha stage, has only first 4 levels (20 planned) and no saving system yet.

All weapons are unlocked from beginning.

    Story:

In 2051 international corporation OMC - Omni Minerals Corp estabilished mining base on the moon.

Precious helium isotope - helium-3, suitable to produce very efficient fuel, was mined there. Due to very difficult conditions for human beings, all the work has been carried out by a fully automated robots.

20 years later, the mine was attacked by unidentified robots. They took over whole base.

Massive earth space vessels were sent to recapture OMC property. All of them was autmoaticly destroyed by robots moon defense system. Approach for all big vessels was impossible. Only one small transport pod with universal assault tank got through their defences.

It's mission is to destroy induction power generators located in each sector of the base. Without them enemy robots will be powerless.

    Aim:

You're controlling BTank - universal assault tank. Your aim is to destroy power generator in every sector.

    Controls:

    W,A,S,D - move

    Q / E - next /previous weapon

    1,2,3,4 - weapon select

    LMB - shoot

    RMB - mine

Please write if you have any comments to the gameplay, graphics, pace etc.

What is good and what is wrong? :)

  • cool game sir,

i like the look of the graphics, and the feel. movement is a little tight in the rooms, but that is probably on purpose, and forces thinking, which is always good.

if you could make the gui at the bottom a more contrasted color, that would help it, to not blend in with the scenes when you checking quickly for weapon or ammo status.

but i really like it, would be even better if larger in scale, as far as window size.

    keep going...

  • Cool graphics. <img src="smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Makes the tank game I'm writing look like crap <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Eager to hear more. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • One question. Why isnt it full screen? IMHO, would be much cooler that way.

Also, I'll try to play this on my 7'' tablet sometime later today. Works with touch?

Feedback: add a small popup tutorial somewhere near the controls to remind player that you can be out of bullets to select from here.

I like the way tank blows up .. looks very 2050-ish + how the wooden boxes seem to repel each other... is that physics and world with 0 gravity?

  • Is not in fullscreen due speed issues. I'd like to keep is fast even on older computers. In Fullscreen on my laptop this game gets 15 FPS.

Tutorial about ammo - It's on the floor in the first level. Not a popup because they are irritating, just text on the floor.

    Boxes - yes physics.

PS. There are 7 levels now.

    I just realised I'm blind sometimes. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

The text looked way cool like as if its something written on the futuristic lab floor... never thought of reading it.

PS. There are 7 levels now.

And you're saying this is early alpha stage development!

    You're mocking me.. huh .. huh .. huh <img src="smileys/smiley7.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    This one rocks!

I'm half way done through my prototype.. I'll upload my WIP when I do some neat art.. right now using random sprites.

    Mine is set in past/present .. nothing futuristic like yours <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • That was pretty fun, machine gun is my fav weapon but I like how all the weapons have a distinct feel. The music is pretty awesome as well.

1 little thing I noticed, the shotgun bullets didn't seem to want to through the open force field like the other bullets did.

  • Great game, in all aspect, great job :D
