[WIP] Cell.Protect(may Change)

[u:2mo4oa17]Cell.Protect[/u:2mo4oa17]
Here is the prototype of my first game in Construct, a basic shooter inspired from Arc Aether Anomalies. It's not complete. Right now there is no 'Game Over' screen, you keep on playing forever even if the health is negative.

Controls:
W,A,S,D to control the ship. Mouse to aim and fire.

Objective:
Shooter the spores/crater(whatever you call it) and protect your cell/planet(whatever you call it ;))
Collect the circles/protiens/enzymes (which one is the best?? or can you suggest a better name??) that spawn after destroy the spores.

>Make the cell destructable, i mean if a spore hits it, the cell gets deformed. I tried using the destructabke terrain trick, but couldn't succeed.

Please can somebody suggest a good sound track for this game? I am really bad at choosing a suitable soundtrack for my games.

What do you think of the difficulty? Currently the game spawns 2 spores per 2 seconds. Should I increase it?

Help regarding the online high score board.

Please post your best scores here so I can change the difficulty level to the most suitable.

Really nice abhilash2863.

Although I suck bad at it - I cannot for the life of me use WASD I don't know why maybe it's the years of 8-bit gaming they always used arrows.

One thing that would help would be screen wrap - Like the old asteroids games go to far left warp on the right. I got stuck off screen and had no idea where I was facing or where I was :(

Also I have no idea why your destructable terrain doesn't work. I made a small example from scratch to see if was a bug in the newest unstable release - but it works fine.

Maybe you can see any difference always easier when you know your way around a .cap.

I am no better at playing the game with WASD, but since it's most common I used it. I think i should add customizable controls.

this was on my list, but i just forgot to mention it.

the only difference i can see is that the bigger circle sprite is destroyed after it has been pasted on the cell.

One last request-
what was your best time of survival in the game?? because i think i have made the game a bit harder.

it working now,i just needed to destroy the "pit" sprite to make it work. Thanks :)

About 45secs, yeah I know I suck, but my brain doesn't process WASD.

Glad you got the terrain bit working, although I'm sure I tried that when poking with the .cap you provided.

the game is nearing completion, added some effects, customizable controls and difficulty levels.

the only thing i am stuck at right now is the music, could somebody suggest a good soundtrack for it??
i tried digging newgrounds audio portal but couldn't find anything.

You just forget to destroy that pit after pasting to canvas :wink:

thank you for the tracks! :)
they are nice,i liked the menu soundtrack more. I think i'll use the menu music in the game and some "pulse" sound loop for the menu.
