@Rayek

'Photoline has a very nice 3d shadow layer effect '

Looks like a really good image editor, is there any tutorials/examples for creating drop shadows with the software.

Well, i did not make the opacity change or the blur in my first example, i fixed it :

basically i just change a copy of the sprite to black, Scale it a little bit, and reduce the opacity,

It is comparable to Photoshop in terms of image editing, and similar in operation. Photoline, however, also offers a 3d shadow layer effect :-)

I'll see if I can whip up a quick tutorial this week.

"would you use it?" - yes, it looks good and I could certainly use it - How much moolah are you asking?

At the moment 'Zero moolah'

Unfortunately I have encountered a problem when I export it from C2....it doesn't work?

Preview mode works ok, but if I export to dropbox, and run it, the shadows dont render correctly.

I am currently trying to solve the problem.

Pretty cool! 8-)

At the moment I prefer to use gradients under my sprites but who knows, maybe someday Ill change my tactics :P

This would seem useful for portfolio shots.
