Hi guys,

I just picked up on this article: Microsoft wants HTML5 on Xbox One
We want to offer the opportunity to build either HTML5 applications, or native applications that span all of those devices, enabling them to reach segments of users on those devices, users on a gaming console, and provide them with very unique opportunities to monetize their application investments

Is Microsoft replacing its DirectX-based XNA with an HTML5 library? It's an interesting idea, and one that definitely has merit especially considering the new focus on mobile.
This sounds very promising!

I'm more excited about html5 on smart tv's lol - imagine sitting in tv room, nothing on netflix's (lol) grab your keyboard/ipad/whatever and browse through 1000's of html 5 games. The future is a gamer's paradise.
You think you can do these things, but you can't, Nemo!
Just keep reading.
Just keep learning.

Ashley do you think that we will be able to deploy HTML 5 XBOX ONE games through visual studio? It worked like that for XBLIG.

Also, don't forget about this: http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/24/xbox-one-indie-self-publishing/

"In so many words, each $500 unit purchased at retail this holiday will also run in-progress game code, enabling developers to get in on the action all the more affordably (debug versions of game consoles cost far more than retail game consoles, and tend to look slightly different from their retail counterparts). "Our vision is that every person can be a creator. That every Xbox One can be used for development," Xbox corporate VP Marc Whitten said in a statement."
