Yet another online game-maker... from EA.

And of course they've tied The Sims to it, since that's their biggest franchise on PC.

Also of note, just like the one from Microsoft - it kinda sucks.

I've tried it and I can't find any way to edit the games other than via some kind of wizard asking questions about the game (eg. "How fast should the enemies move?"). Is that it? A series of heavily modifiable presets? Is there an actual code or event editor anywhere?

Well, it's hard to look at it as a game creator in its own right when it's called "The Sims Carnival Game Creator". Looks like just a promo.

True. But they are offering $1000 for a contest of a game made with it.

It would take more than that to get me to use it though lol.

Haha, the "STUFF!" part of the video made me laugh. Seriously, who is in charge of their marketing team? This is just horrendous. What kind of a name is "Sims Carnival"? That is a ridiculous name- how can you take that seriously? Anyways, good find, I had a good laugh from that "STUFF!" part.

If I actually got paid $1000, sure, I'd made something with it. But a contest? Pfft.

When I saw the interface I first thought "Hey, that looks like Alice." Then I though maybe it was, and they'd just bought the rights to it, seeing as how they've donated their Sims models to the Alice project anyway... but no. It's something totally new and crappy.

Hell, at least Alice is 3D.
