YO YO YO I NEED HELP WITH SOME STUFF

I have an enemy that is a frog and I am trying to make it jump around towards the player. Every time I use the "simulate control jump" then "VectorX 100" it only makes a very slight movement when it is about to touch the ground. So I am trying to figure out how to make an event happen for a specified amount of time. I would like to know if anyone has had this problem, and if so, solved it. Thank you for reading.

You could use a global variable I suppose. I don't know when you make it jump, so for example every second you could do this.

Global number move=0

Every 1.0 seconds
--- simulate jump
--- set move to 1
--- wait 0.5 seconds
--- set move to 0

Move = 1
--- set velocityX to 100

Here you go a frog that jumps and follows the player if in line of sight... using only behaviors...
