Hello all.
I am on more of the side of design and art so I am trying to figure out some kind of programming stuff. So I can make some small games to showcase my artwork and sprite work.
Taking what I learned looking at tutorials and fun I had playing in construct classic I just jumped in with my protosprites and starting just adding stuff and seeing what came of it and this is the fir...
Hah, that's pretty fun to mess around with. You could add in a feature so that it charges up the throw when you hold Z and then shoots when you release it. I'd play it :P

Hah, Thanks Cerbyn very nice suggestion I actually had the same thought after I posted.

Already updated a good amount trying to make it feel better and now you can charge your shot by holding down z. Also now you can't score up through the basket.

Larger playing area for adding another basket maybe

Here is something I'm working on. Pretty new to Construct but very excited to create a game of my own.

This was a concept I thought would be interesting. Taking a twist on the old school shooters.

@mufasajone
once you charge your shot, you cannot change the direction you are shooting. you should be able to. nice start so far.

@jickay
I like that concept really fun to mess with. i would like to see how it all works out with more added to it. Never would have though of it myself, wish I had, would be fun to make and see how far i could take it and what I could do with it.

@harrio
Actually i did that on purpose as a design choice, for the purpose of making shooting more strategic. The fact that the ball will be vulnerable to your opponent while you are trying to shoot, and not be able to keep the ball away till the last second before you shoot at full power. I might change it later if it turns out that it does not work the way I would like. But for now I'm gonna keep it that way and see how it works out

I came out with this game after doing the basic tutorial.
Chicken game

Still got alot to learn.
I do want to ask how do i make a health bar properly. Cause mine is contracting towards the center.
And i cant seem to add any sound to the game too.

Cool game gnahz!
Very interesting mechanics!

As for the health bar, you probably need to change the sprite origin to the left-center :D

Some isometric atempt but not perfect yet.
Use Z to jump and arrows to move.
Note: needs Z ordering plugin
