Yay!
the development of my game is going slow... but im happy with it
I added spikes, a "new game" & "continue" menu, falling platforms, a few more placeholder sound FX, and a cannon to throw you into the next stage!

EDIT: Some of my friends said they couldn't "click the new game button"...
well, i's not a button, so i added a sine behavior and a small arrow to make it look like more of a sign than a button

You can test it here

PS: if some1 is interested in providing me some placeholder 8bit music, i'd be honored to give credit Lobo932012-09-24 22:01:39

@Lobo93 The movement is really hard. Too much sliding. I can't even get past the first two falling tiles without dying like 4-5 times xD

here is a short level of my first creation.
WASD to flight, MOUSE to aim, LEFT to shoot flame, RIGHT (down-release) charge-shoot fireball.

Miro, you might want to use the green dragons at their native scale (or make a smaller sprite), because now their scaling seems to sizzle a bit.

@Eisenhans, thanks for comment but I think it depends more from the two frames animation. When I have a little time wanna try to resize the sprite to see if there is any difference.

Here's a Shoot 'em up I'm working on atm. Nowhere near finished (in fact only started it the other day). Missing some effects due the free version limitation and I'm yet to set all the alien patterns for the first level.

I've developed it so that I can just switch on or off certain attack patterns based on time, which is a lifesaver when creating waves. The health bar works but doesn't as you can't die yet (got fed up of dieing while testing :P ) and the big lazer is way to powerful, would kill you in a second.

The shot speed changed after a few seconds because I was trying different speeds and set it to a timer rather than waiting for a certain event.

I've ran out of events in the free version so this is another game I'm putting on the back burner until I get a license. Anyhoo, tell me what you think.

EDIT - I uploaded the wrong version :P

@Lobo93, solid work. I agree that the controls are a little slidey, but it was really only a problem on the falling platforms. Starting with slightly easier challenges and then moving up to those would help. Definitely looking forward to more.
