Very interesting! Something about the walk cycle looks a bit off though. I love your new avatar! It was a "dog gone shame" when @Newt sent his pup to the pound. I'm glad you "aint nothin but a hound dog!"[/QUOTE]

@Auntie Val

@Newt 's new avatar is a cat, a strange and singular cat, haunf!

You're right about the walking cycle, it's something about the frame speed and the walking speed, need to work more on it to match perfectly.

The scenario graphics are all temporary, just to test, nothing else.

Aiming to the talking system today =DTELLES08082013-05-08 21:22:23

Hello everyone,

Here's my current progress: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32903138/Paintz/index.html

Description
Paintz is a 2D sidescroller jumping platformer in which the player's path leaves a trail of paint, each time the player spawns the color of the trail changes. Their interactions with the game world, creates random spats of paint that are painted on a canvas in the background. Once the player has completed a level, the canvas showing the artwork they have creating by their actions will be shown.

Current Issues:
-I'm using TARP to record the trails of paint but haven't been able to find a way to record the random spats of paint at the same time.

-Is their way to display the entire level/layout from a smaller window size after they have completed a level?

Any suggestions and comments, would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

@kwee55
love the concept and idea!
a king showing his daughter around their kingdom,
maybe add more consequences from the choices, rather than just the char appearance, can't wait to see when it's finished!

How about that? What you think, good for crowd funding? stachir2013-05-13 13:28:42

after trying to look for HOW that ripples were done in CS2's particle demo...i figured it would have been done this way....after some playing around with effects.... pretty much eyecandy really, but sure someone could use this idea.

@stachir

Why you would be funded for an indie game? that's not your hobby?

Using and checking arrays could make your life easy, but I like visual things to work with, so, the simplest way (and not the most efficient) is make a grid in the screen and make some maths to check FOR EACH blocks, that blocks who check one block of the same color on his left, right,up or down side, will start a separated event, adding who much consecutive tiles it cover and destroying it when meeting the events.

Getting frustrated after my not so epic fail at Construct 2 Touch Jam, I've made this short prototype demo using mockups and art by Winged Doom, the designer of the game STEALER, a robots-themed platformer non-existing so far:

There is almost no gameplay yet. Arrows to move, space to link and Z to zoom out.
