I've got the combat basics roughed out for my Pikmin style action RPG prototype. It runs terribly for me in Firefox so you'll find a link to the EXE as well, in case you don't use Chrome.
Browser Link
Exe Link

WASD to move
E to pick up or drop Scepters (They all fire the same unfinished projectile)
LMB to use Scepter
Hold RMB to direct Imps
Middle click to make Imps hold position
Direct Imps toward slimes to make them attack
[1] will reset the layout

I'm getting 58 - 60 fps with the EXE, so hopefully it won't chug for anyone. I minimized my use of pathfinding as much as possible but the Imp's AI is still pretty taxing. Anyway, feedback would be greatly appreciated.Ahr Ech2013-12-19 11:55:42

@RandomFellow Lol I'm not sure my work is that good, but I hope it encourages people to keep going with their own stuff. Seeing everyone else's work here certainly keeps me going!

This is basically me getting to grips with Construct 2 by way of Lee Stemkoski's Breakout tutorial.

Game: http://www.dragonflame.us/slider.php
Source File: http://www.dragonflame.us/cs2/slider/slider.capx

I did the tutorial yesterday morning and then I did this in the afternoon using the free (demo) version of CS2... I haven't used an editor like this in a long time, since my RM2K days over a decade ago. Seems pretty capable actually, I think I'm going to pick up the paid version in a day or two. I can't draw at all but my artist friend seems to be receptive to the idea of trying our hands at indie development.

The event code is a mess but I was figuring it out as I went along... complex logic seems really awkward but I'm pretty sure I can do anything really intricate using the Javascript SDK. Looking forward to seeing what I can do with this.. have plenty of ideas already.nusbaumc2013-12-18 18:23:46
