Your game on a webpage

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Mon Apr 30, 2012 2:19 pm

I was planning on having a webpage in the near future and I was wondering if I'm able to upload my game so that you can start it by just pressing on it? Is this possible with Construct 2? Like newgrounds or miniclip? I don't know if you understand but I think you will.

Okay, I'm going to make a website and I want to upload my games that I make. But is there any other way than using dropbox? I mean sometimes my links to my game doesn't work...

yeah if you have a website you just need to upload it to your website the same way youd upload it to dropbox. Then you can goto the index.html and play the game.

Like if your websites called MySuperAwesomeGames.com you make a new folder on your website (like GameOfAwesome)for the game and then upload your exported game from c2 to that folder then you can goto http://MySuperAwesomeGames.com/GameOfAwesome/index.html and play the game

Can you do this on a regular website?

Or only one that allows Virtual Hosting?

@Schoening, you can do that on any hosted site. You'll just need a host, even a free one.

You could also try uploading to the Scirra Arcade.
